Serra Sol named a Best Memory Care by U.S. News and World Report

U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, recently revealed its 2023-2024 Best Senior Living ratings to assist seniors and their families with researching and choosing the best senior living community for them. Now in its third year, U.S. News Best Senior Living ratings evaluate nearly 4,000 communities in the U.S. in one or more of the following categories: independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care retirement.

Serra Sol Memory Care in San Juan Capistrano, CA, was named to the Best Memory Care list. Serra Sol is owned by Protea Senior Living and managed by Agemark Senior Living. The community is led by Executive Director Lindsay Schroeder and boasts a talented team of caregivers specially trained in providing the unique care that individuals with memory loss due to dementia require in order to thrive. The community serves those with all types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Marty Hug, CEO of Agemark Senior Living says, “We are thrilled that Serra Sol Memory Care was recognized as one of the Best Memory Care communities in the country. However, it means even more to us that Serra Sol families think so highly of the community because their feedback is what prompts this honor. Serra Sol has worked hard to create the type of community that feels like home. We know that choosing a senior living community isn’t easy, and having families and residents put their trust in us is something we do not take lightly.”

Residents of Serra Sol benefit from Agemark’s wellness philosophy, LifeCycles, which focuses on four dimensions of wellness: physical, social, intellectual and spiritual.
